Polly Hutson

Tupelo - Ola Fae "Polly" Hutson, 89, died Sunday, November 15, 2009, at The North Mississippi Medical after an extended illness. A native of Tremont, she was born February 22, 1920, to E.B. and Ora Harbor Stevens. She lived in Tupelo since 1947. She enjoyed camping and spending time outdoors. Her greatest joy came from her family and taking care of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the widow of Oscar Hutson who preceded her in death February 4, 2000. She was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Fellowship Sunday School class.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Raymond Rooney officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Cemetery in Tremont. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include four daughters, Nelda Hutson Gray of Memphis, Tenn., Janet Hutson of Tupelo, Betty Conaway (Gerald) of Tupelo, Rev. Mary Hutson of Ruleville; one son, David Hutson (Trudy) of Tupelo; one sister, Mae Barrett of Shuqualak; one brother, Ray Stevens of Tremont; five grandchildren, Rebecca Conaway, Amy Davis (Mark), Katie West, Wendy Little (T.J.), and Henry Hutson; five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Elise, and Mary Katherine Davis, Trey, and Landon Little.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; one granddaughter, Hilary Hutson, one grandson, Michael Conaway.

Pallbearers will be Steve Stevens, Mark Davis, Robert Whitehead, Harold Kennedy, Jimmy Langley, and Steve Weils.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
