GENEVA PEARSON



Saltillo - Geneva Pearson, 90, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Baldwyn Nursing Facility. A native of Shannon, she was born October 13, 1922, to Lewis and Rennie Clementine Lyons. She was a long time resident of Lee County and lived fourty-seven years in Saltillo. She retired with Purnells Pride in December of 1985 after many years of service. She loved her family, spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Earlier in her life she enjoyed sewing clothes for her children and was a lifelong flower and vegetable garden enthusiast. She was a member of Guntown Assembly of God.



Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013 at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Merle Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Euclatubba Cemetery.



Survivors include four daughters, Fay Owens and Linda Raines both of Saltillo, Judy Barnett of Guntown and Barbara Raines (James) of Saltillo; two sons, Billy Wayne Miller (Frances) and Thomas Pearson (Linda) both of the Unity Community; one brother, James Lyons of the Unity Community; eighteen grandchildren, Mary Frances Owens (Richard) of Saltillo, Matthew Miller (Ginger) of the Unity Community, Steve Owens (Renee) of the Kirkville Community, Debbie Cameron of Saltillo, Nancy Lansdell (Mike) of Eggville, Scotty Owens (Crista) of the Alpine Community, Dudley Owens (Angie) of Saltillo, Alan Raines (Glenda) of Randolph, Janice Moore (Perry) of Saltillo, David Raines (Rachel) of Saltillo, Kayla Dunaway (Tony) of Guntown, Mark Barnett (Deb) of Red Bay, Alabama, Kevin Barnett (Holly) of Saltillo, Greg Barnett (Angeline) of Tremont, Tina Meeks (Kirk) of Saltillo, Becky Huddleston (Troy) of Sebastopol, Clay Pearson (Tracy) of the Unity Community and Chad Pearson (Emily) of Iuka; fourty-nine great-grandchildren; twenty-three great-great-grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Miller and John Pearson; her parents; one brother, Robert Lyons; three sisters, Lillie Bell Lyons, Mittie Jane Smith and Sudie Pettigo; three grandchildren, Alana Dobbs, Sandra Kay Raines and Sharron Barnett; one great-grandchild, Ryan Meeks; three sons-in-laws, Gerald Owens, John Wayne Raines and Hoyle Barnett.



Visitation will be 5 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the funeral home.
