Pearlie Loftin Parker

Verona—Pearlie Loftin Parker, age 81, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born November 8, 1941 in Tupelo, the daughter of James Farris Loftin and Mildred Turner Stembridge. Pearlie worked as a hair stylist for many years. She also enjoyed different forms of needlework including crocheting, and trips to Tunica.

Pearlie leaves behind her son, Jerry Parker of Tupelo; grandchildren, Kayla Parker, Josh and Justin Lucas, and Jennifer Wade; her caregiver and best friend, Hope Combs of Nettleton; two aunts, Jimmie Lou Loftin of Tupelo and Jo Evelyn Loftin Turner of Florida; a sister-in-law, Jane White of Tennessee; her uncle, Hugh Loftin (Wanda); 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny Parker; and her siblings, Carl Loftin and Scarlett Scruggs.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Friday at Pegues, Tupelo.
