Tupelo - Paula Lynn Wood, 55, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at her residence after a sudden illness. A native of Tunica, she was born January 20, 1955, to Kenneth and Grace Lynn Young Wood. In 1973, she graduated from Tupelo High School. Several years later she received her accounting degree from the University of Mississippi. She worked as an accountant for serveral businesses in the area. She enjoyed playing golf and scrapbooking. She was a very caring and giving individual and loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a member of West Jackson Street Baptist Church.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Bert Harper officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.
Survivors include her daughter, Crystal Wood Parham (Johnathan) of Tupelo; her mother, Grace Young Wood of Shannon; two grandchildren, Aidan and Lakyn Grace Parham; two sisters, Dianne Ledbetter (David) of Tupelo and Kim Killough (Jimmy) of Shannon; two brothers, Bill Brunson (Diane) of St. Louis, Mo. and Steve Wood of Baldwyn.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Pallbearers will be David Ledbetter, Jimmy Killough, Bill Brunson, Malcolm Ashcraft, Junior Wilemon, Jason Ledbetter, and Ryan Killough.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday the funeral home.
