Saltillo - Paul Cogsdell, 60, formerly of Amory and Aberdeen, died Monday, February 21, 2011, at Residence after a brief illness. He was born July 27, 1950, to Jimmy Bean and Chessie Taylor Cogsdell. He was a tow-motor driver for MTD Products in Verona and a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church in Hamilton. He loved his friends at MTD, but most of all, he loved his two sons.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the Stateroom of at W. E. Pegues in Saltillo with Rev. Terry Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Cody Paul Cogsdell and Adam Cogsdell, both of Amory; his sister, Martha Bullock of Saltillo; his brothers, Charlie Martin (Lisa) of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; special nieces and nephews, Lisa Moore and Nona Duffie (Mickey) both of Saltillo, and Maeci, Micha and Matthew Martin of Tuscaloosa, Ala; great nephews, Joshua Duffie (Robin) and Caleb Duffie of Saltillo; great-great-nephew, Elijah Duffie of Saltillo; special firend, Tommy Mink.
Visitation will be noon to service time Thursday at the Saltillo Funeral Home.
