Tupelo - Paul F. Clayton, 80, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at his residence. He was born in Lee County on November 21, 1930 to Homer and Sally Richey Clayton. He lived his entire life in Lee County. He retired from Rockwell International after twenty years of service as a computer operator. He was a member of East Heights Baptist Church. He enjoyed nascar, wrestling, time spent with family and especially the time spent with his great-granddaughter.

Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues. Burial will be in Belden Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Laverne Farrar Clayton of Tupelo, one daughter, Sandra Clayton of Tupelo; two grandchildren, Farrar Kelly (Jacky Hare) of Fulton and Paul Wayne Green of Mooreville; great-grandchild, Trinity Jewl Hare; one sister, Shirley Walls of Iuka; nephews and nieces; dear friend, Terry Green of Tupelo.

He was preceded in death by his parens; one brother, Tom Clayton; best friend, Ray Stevenson.

Pallbearers will be Jacky Hare, Terry Green, Van Stevenson, Johnny Clayton, Ralph Pounds and Guy Harris.

Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the funeral home.
