Patty Sullins Botts
Pontotoc- Patty Anne Sullins Botts, 62, passed from this life into the loving arms of our Savior on Tuesday, June 20, 2019 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo surrounded by her husband, mother, and children. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee, February 28, 1957 to Kenneth Hugh Sullins and Virginia Ivalee Noe Sullins.
Patty was a cosmetologist by trade, but a teacher at heart. She was a hairdresser in Alabama before moving to Mississippi. She stayed home with her children until they started school, and then went to work at Pontotoc City Elementary School as an assistant teacher for 11 years. She then worked for D.K. Designs and Jim’s Lily Pad, both in Pontotoc.
Patty loved to read. Her favorite authors were James Patterson and John Grisham.
She liked to crochet and made hats and slippers for her children and grandchildren.
Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren, and coming up with games to play so that everyone was always having fun.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Tony Botts of Pontotoc; daughter, Lauren Holt (Tyler) of Tupelo, and their children, Brodie and Lily. She also leaves behind her son, Tyler Botts (Brooke) of Tupelo and their daughter, Ellie, expected to make her arrival this September; mother, Virginia Sullins of Pontotoc; father-in-law, Price Senter; sister-in-law, Jan Botts; brothers-in-law, David Senter (Randy), and Bill Botts (Karen); nephew, Drew Ballard; nieces, Carleigh Ballard and Victoria Brown (Andy); and great-nephew, Ellis.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ken Sullins of Saltillo; aunt, Maxine McCarley of Hamilton; and uncle, Herbert Sullins of Hamilton.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Sunday June 23, 2019 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Services honoring her life will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday June 23, 2019 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Terry Smith. Burial will follow in Sullins Cemetery in Hamilton, Alabama.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Holt, Danny Senter, Daniel Senter, Dean Johnson, Chris Johnson and Derek Smith.
