Patsy Nicholson

Tupelo - Patsy Nan Nicholson, 66, died Friday, January 15, 2010, at Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born July 24, 1943 in Tippah County to Murray Tildon and Martha Willard Barkley. She made her home in the Blue Springs community and was a member of Chesterville Baptist Church. She was a long-time instructor of Creations, Inc in Tupelo until her health failed. She loved her family, grandchildren, her great grandchild, working with flowers, watching birds and feeding them.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2010 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Ray Morton officiating. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Tammy Romig (Brad) of Sherman; two sons, Bruce Nicholson (Tammie) and Rusty Nicholson both of Blue Springs; three sisters, Peggy Smith of Tupelo, Joyce Wilson (Herman) of Plantersville and Kathy Peters (Danny Joe) of Shannon; one brother, George Tildon Barkley of Tupelo; seven grandchildren, Brian, Blake, Candice, Tiffany, Dylan, Alyssa and Jesse; one great-grandchild, Eli; a special aunt, Bess Brazil.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Charles G. Nicholson and Randy Evans; two infant children; her parents; one sister, Jamie Farmer.

Pallbearers will be James "Punkin" Matthews, Jr., Michael Wilson, David Hill, David Payne, William McCaulley and Jerry McKee.

Visitation will be 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2010, at the funeral home and continue Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until service time.
