Patsy Ann Ledbetter

Blue Springs - Patsy Ann Hawkins Creely Ledbetter, 75, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born September 12, 1935, in the Bigbee Community to Robert Carl and Lucien Johnson Hawkins. A graduate of Amory High School, she was a member of the band drum corp. Earlier in life, she worked for the IRS in Georgia and Southern Bell as a telephone operator, but spent most of her life as a homemaker, taking care of her family. She lived in the Blue Springs Community since 1986. She enjoyed music, reading, shopping, and loved plants and flowers. She also enjoyed watching educational documentaries. Her grandchildren lovingly called her Mimi.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Neal Davis officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Church Cemetery, east of Amory.

Survivors include her husband of 26 years, William Thomas Ledbetter of Blue Springs; one daughter, Patty Creely Moore (Thomas) of Smithfield, Virginia; one son, George Roger Creely of Blue Springs; four grandchildren, Jennifer Frey (Joe) of Massillon, Ohio, Thomas Moore (Brandie) of Watertown, NY, Allison Stroud (Justin) of North Canton, Ohio, Matthew Moore of Massillon, Ohio; and three great-grandchildren, Alex Moore of Watertown, NY, Scarlett Frey and Gabrielle Frey both of Massillon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and father of her children, George Thomas Creely who died Feb. 23, 1983; and her son, Carl Thomas Creely .

Pallbearers will be Mike Gentry, Kenneth Gentry, Wayne Gentry, Jimmy Gentry, Thomas Moore, and Matthew Moore.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
