PAM ESTES
Richmond - Pamela Gayle "Pam Estes, 53, died Thursday, October 5, 2006, at her residence in the Richmond Community. She was born December 29, 1952 in Greenville, S.C. to the late Robert Madison and Madine Monaghan Shumpert. As a child she had lived in Columbus before moving to Tupelo at age 10. She was a former employee of BancorpSouth where she had worked for eight years in the personnel department. Most recently, she was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her dog,"Fancy," and collecting angels and humming birds. She loved being with her family and their special gatherings. She knew her Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age. She was a member of Richmond Baptist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Clay Anthony officiating. Burial will be in Andrews Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Richard Estes of the Richmond Community; one daughter, Kellie McCombs Curry and husband, Jay, of Plantersville, two step-daughters, Kim Hogue of Mooreville, Jennifer Barber and husband, Dusty, of Mooreville; one sister, Marianne Mancill and husband, Wilbur, of Mooreville; one brother, Bob Shumpert, Jr. and wife, Patty, of Tupelo; a sister-in-law Linda Estes Farr, of Richmond; a special granddaughter, Kaytlin Curry; five more grandchildren, Zach and Grace Barber, Ashley Williams, Adam and Lindsey Hogue; a special niece, Aimy Carr and husband, Bob, of Mooreville; two great-nephews, Paden Bell and Brylen Carr; one great-niece, Ashlen Carr; and her mother-in-law, Evie Lou Estes of Richmond.
Pallbearers will be Bob Carr, Dusty Barber, Ronald Reed, Jeffrey Holloway, Colin Greenhill, Daniel Monaghan, Bill Shumpert, and Bob Shumpert.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
