Tupelo - Ora Inez Dunnam Cox, 89, died Thursday, December 4, 2008, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A Union County native, she was born October 6, 1919 to Loyd Kyle and Ethel Grubbs Dunnam. She was a homemaker and the widow of Foster B. Cox to whom she was married for 50 years. She loved to care for others and enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, and spending time with family. She was a member of Belden Baptist Church.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Owen Reddick and Rev. Jim Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in Euclatubba Cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, Frances Miller and husband, Billy Wayne, of Saltillo, Mary Wages and husband, Melvin, of the Furrs Community, and Shirley Allred of the Palmetto Community; one son, Truman Cox and wife, Patty, of Sterling, Virginia; one brother, Loyd Kyle Dunnam, Jr. of Blytheville, Ark.; one brother-in-law, Jack Duggar of Starkville; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Foster B. Cox, who died February 28, 1988; her granddaughter, Alana Diane Miller Dobbs; two brothers, Raul Dunnam and Boswell Dunnam; and two sisters, Catherine Duggar and Ozell Thompson.

Pallbearers will be Greg Wages, Robert Wages, Matthew Miller, Richard Allred, Thomas Allred, and Blake Wages.

Truman Cox will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
