Opaline Grubbs

OPALINE GRUBBS Georgia - Opaline Grubbs, 79, died Friday, June 1, 2012, at her residence in Tyrone, Georgia. She was born in the Eggville Community on December 3, 1932 to Wilburn and Luna Mae Davis Brock. She married F. T. Grubbs on September 3, 1948. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Olive Branch, Mississippi. She retired from J. M. Smuckers after over twenty years of service. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2012 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Bill Mason and Bro. Jack Ezell officiating. Burial will be in Doty Chapel Cemetery. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, F. T. Grubbs of Tyrone, Georgia; two children, Sarah McAllister (Donald) and Kenneth Grubbs (Diane) both of Fayetteville, Georgia; five grandchildren, Donovan McAllister (Kristy) of McDonough, Georgia, Derrick McAllister (Sara) of Lotus Grove, Georgia, Darren McAllister (Lindsey) of Richlands, North Carolina, Jeffery Grubbs of Newnan, Georgia and Jennifer Grubbs of Fayetteville, Georgia; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Smith of Tupelo and Louise Knight (Ray) of Brandon. She was preceded in death by one sister, Billie Jean Brock. Pallbearers will be Kenneth, Jeffery and Benney Grubbs, Donovan, Derrick and Donald McAllister. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
