Baldwyn Opal Price, 86, died Saturday, October 16, 2010, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility after a lengthy illness. An Evergreen Community native, she was born November 15, 1923 to William Jim and Gracia Rebecca Shumpert. She worked over 20 years with Charm Step Shoe Manufacturing Company in Fulton. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club in Itawamba County and was always known for helping others and living her life to the fullest. She was a lifelong and faithful member of Evergreen United Methodsit Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of
W. E. Pegues. Burial will be in Andrews Chapel Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two sisters, Mamie Grace Riley of Mantachie, Flora Nell Williams of Marietta, Georgia; a special sister-in-law, Mary Shumpert of Tupelo; special friends, Janice Watson of Mantachie, and Marge Stevens and Cassie Needham both of Tupelo; and a host of nieces and nephews..
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband who preceded her in death, August 13, 2001, Glenn Griffin Price; two brothers, Haughton Shumpert, Edwin Shumpert; and one sister, Virginia Dozier.
Pallbearers will be Randy Riley, David Harris, Danny Watson, Richard Twitty, Madison Twitty, and Ricky Boyd.
Visitation will be noon until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
