Oleta Wheeler
Tupelo--Oleta Wheeler died, 77, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at The Sanctuary Hospice House. A native of Corinth, she was born September 16, 1928, to the late Andy and Myrtle Hopper Hodum. She was a homemaker and a member of Thomas Street Baptist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Frank Panzrino officiating. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. at Forrest Memorial Cemetery in Corinth.
Survivors include two sons, Dwight Wilson and wife, Sarah, of Biggersville, and Jeff Wilson and wife, Susan, of Huntsville, Ala.; four grandchildren, Tammie Vogel and husband, Tom, of Cordova, Tenn., Amanda Fanning of Huntsville, Ala., Jonathan Wilson of Aiken, S.C. and Elizabeth Wilson of Denver, Col.; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Wheeler; a brother Mitchell Hodum; and a grandson, Matthew Wilson.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
