ODELL MELTON
Palmetto - Wallace Odell Melton, 49, died Saturday, November 18, 2006, at his residence after a sudden illness. A Pontotoc native, he was born November 8, 1957 to the late Leon and Mary Edna Pitts Melton. He was a life long resident of the Palmetto Community and had worked in the auto salvage business. He was a Baptist.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brewer Cemetery with Rev. Harold Keith Russell officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Nathan Melton and wife, Felicia, of Palmetto; grandaughter, McKenzie Melton; one sister, Rhonda Persbacker and husband, Matt, of Old Union; four brothers, David Melton and wife,Sheila , of Mantachie, James Melton and wife, Kathy, of Belden, William Melton and wife, Martha, of Pontotoc, James Keith, and wife, Daniell, of Black Zion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Sandy Melton.
