Norman Barnhart

Plantersville—Norman Monroe Barnhart Sr., 71, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born August 8, 1949 in Maryland, the son of Clarence Barnhart and Naomi Wagner Barnhart Jurotavac. Known as “Polock” to friends and family, he moved to Lee County in 1976 and worked as a truck driver for Shannon Steel for 30 years.. Norman was an avid fan of Ole Miss Sports. He enjoyed car racing, going to casinos with friends, and had a a genuine love for people.
Norman is survived by his mother, Naomi Jurotavc; two sons, Brian Barnhart and Norman Barnhart Jr.; five grandchildren, Ava, Anthony, Shane, Angelina and Kaitlyn; and one great-granddaughter, Kendilyn. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence.
