Nora Corbett

Saltillo - Nora Lary Corbett, 86, died Monday, June 30, 2008, at her residence after a sudden illness. She was born November 7, 1921 in Atlanta, Georgia to James E. and Ada Lillian Tallant Lary. She was the widow of William Corbett, who preceded her in death in 1985. She retired 26 years ago, after working as a hairdresser in the Atlanta, Georgia area where she lived for most of her life. She remained a long time member of the Peachtree Baptist Church in Atlanta. In 1997, she moved to Saltillo to be closer to her family.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Tupelo Memorial Park with Minister Demetria Walker officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include one daughter, Eileen G. Smith of Tupelo; two grandchildren, Adam Smith and his wife, Heather, of Ridgeland and Steven Smith of Memphis, Tennessee; one sister, Willie Dee Sentell of Lavonia, Georgia; several nieces and nephews; one very special friend, Beth Ostrowski and her friends at Cedar Stone Apartments in Saltillo.
