Noel Langston Hubert,80, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born in Eggville, Mississippi on July 14, 1937 to Fountain H. and Harriett Jane Robinson Hubert. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for 28 years. Noel spent most of his military career serving overseas including the Vietnam War and the Cuban Crisis and was a Purple Heart recipient. After his retirement from the military, he worked at Action and Eljer. Noel had a kind heart, often using his spare time to collect cans to sell and help maintain the cemetery at his church. He attended Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sisters, Mary Petrie of Tupelo, Dorothy Robinson and husband Charles of the Palmetto Community, and Glenda Saylors and husband Bobby of the Brewer Community. A host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents and two brothers, Jimmy and Marvin Hubert.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. January 10, 2018, at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Fellowship Baptist Church with Bro. Gregg Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Saylors, William H. Petrie, Jimmy E. Petrie, Paul Robinson, Lesley Robinson, and Michael Hubert.
