NEWELL WILLIAMS Mooreville - Newell Williams, 76, died Friday, December 5, 2014, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born September 17, 1938 to William Davis and Minnie Mae Dykes Williams. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. David Perry officiating. Burial will be in Boguefala Cemetery. Survivors include his children, Michael Williams (Karen), Mark Williams (Kim), Matthew Williams (Kayla), Lisa Davis (Rodney), Joy Williams (Norman), Melissa Williams, Eddie Williams (Liz) and Jeff Williams; fiancee, Joyce Smith ; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one brother, George Williams (Frances) and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Minnie Mae Williams; mother of his children, Betty Williams; one son, David Williams; one grandson, Chris Easterling; two brothers, Tim and Billy Williams and one sister, Helen Hallmark. Pallbearers will be Harmon Birmingham, Jimmy McDonald, Danny Nicholson, Tyler Birmingham, Robert Spees, Norman McDonald, Chris Griffin and Dewayne Kemp. Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
