NELLIE FAYE SCRUGGS
Sherman - Nellie Faye Scruggs, 69, died Friday, March 10, 2006, at her residence in Sherman after a brief illness. A longtime resident of Sherman, she was born June 23, 1936, in Union County to the late Buron Lee and Kattie Belle Raines Goggins. She worked for over 20 years for Joyner Fields Manufacturing in Sherman and another 20 years as a baby-sitter. She was a member of the New Albany Church of God. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed sitting on her front porch.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with the Rev. James Wells officiating. Burial will be in the Sherman Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Ross and her husband, Andy, and Linda Scruggs, all of Sherman; two grandchildren, Abby Ross and Ruthie Ross of Sherman; one brother, Charles Goggins of Martintown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Scruggs, in 1988; and one sister, Hazel Wages.
Visitation will continue today until service time at the funeral home.
