Nellie Livingston

February 28, 1942 — October 18, 2008

Evergreen Community - Nellie Joyce Livingston, 66, died Saturday, October 18, 2008, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a sudden illness. She was born February 28, 1942 in Tremont to John Henry and Hattie Viola Dozier Parker. She attended Dorsey High School. She was a long-time resident of the Evergreen Community. She married Mack Livingston on March 2, 1984. She was retired from Hunter Sadler after 25 years of service. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved gardening, being outside and will be truly missed by all that knew her.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Greenwood Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Pierce and Rev. Sammy Raper officiating. Burial will be in Keyes Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Mack Livingston; one son, Danny Joe Oliver and his wife, Jean; three daughters, Angela Davis and her husband, Terry, Lisa Whitaker and her husband, Bobby and Nancy Hogue; three grandsons, Channing Davis, Zack Whitaker and Chance Hogue; four grandaughters, Rena Irvin, Chanda Davis, Chelsea Whitaker and Chana Hogue; one great grandchild, Dillon Irvin all of Evergreen.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Joyce Oliver; two grandsons, Robbie and Wesley Whitaker; her parents; her first husband, Joe T. Oliver; three sisters and eight brothers.

Pallbearers will be Dale Fikes, Glen Parker, Mike Parker, William Parker and James Parker.

Visitation will be 5 - 9 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2008 at the funeral home and will continue at the church Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.
