Nell Sewell

Belmont - Audrey Nell Sewell, 82, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. An Itawamba County native, she was born September 8, 1926 to Henry T. and Mary Winningham Cox. She was retired from Blue Bell Manufacturing. Her husband Aaron Sewell preceded her in death in 1990. She enjoyed quilting, needlework and flower gardening, especially her roses. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Golden.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Mickey Trammel officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery.

Survivors include her son, Robert Sewell and wife, Martha Baker Sewell, of Birmingham, Ala.; her grandson, Ryan Sewell of Tupelo; two sisters, Victoria Franks of Tremont and Charlene Rhodes of Belmont; one brother, James Cox of Tremont.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 43 years, Aaron Sewell; and five brothers.

Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
