Nell Glidewill

Nell Glidewell SALTILLO - Nell Glidewell, 82, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at her residence after a short illness. A Saltillo native, she was born July 26, 1930, to Dennis and Pearl Webb Davis. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed working in her garden, her yard and playing with her grandchildren. She was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church of Union County. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at The Saltillo Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Holland and the Rev. Felix Hutcheson officiating. Burial will be in Saltillo Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Marlin Glidewell; four sons, Glen Glidewell (Lisa), Billy Glidewell (Tammy), Terry Glidewell (Jina), Jeremy Glidewell, all of Saltillo; one brother, Billy Davis of Saltillo; one grandson, Jason Glidewell (Alexis); and two great-grandsons, Nick Glidewell and Carson Glidewell. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Buse; and one brother, Rouster Davis. Pallbearers will be P.K. Sanderford, Roger May, Andy Jackson, Mike McBrayer, Knox Brown and Jason McBrayer. Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. today at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors.
