NELL BEASLEY Tupelo - Sara Nell Beasley, 87, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015, at Tupelo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. A Carolina Community native, she was born January 5, 1928 to E. Ernest and Gertie May Black. She was a 1945, graduate of Itawamba Agricultural High School. She was an active member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. She was a member of East Heights Gardening Club and Mississippi Road Builders. Nell enjoyed traveling, shopping and especially spending time with her family. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Don McCain officiating. Burial will be in Wiygul Cemetery. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Wayne Beasley of Tupelo; three children, Pat Beasley (Monia) of Tupelo, Sherrie Sheffield of Columbus and Mitzi Brock (Al) of Greenville; seven grandchildren, Ryan Sheffield (Amy) of Columbus, GA, Hayley Hedrick (Ben) of Marietta, GA, William Brock (Rachel) of Westwego, LA, Lindsey Beasley of Tupelo, Coleman Brock of Atlanta, GA, Sara Kathryn Beasley of Tupelo and Patrick W. Beasley, Jr. of Tupelo and five great-grandchildren, Anders Hedrick, Mary Gunter Hedrick, Sadler Hedrick, Carolina Sheffield and Rollins Sheffield. She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Rodney Sheffield. Pallbearers will be Ryan Sheffield, Ben Hedrick, William Brock, Coleman Brock, Lindsey Beasley, Sara Kathryn Beasley and Patrick W. Beasley, Jr. Visitation will be 4 - 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015, W. E. Pegues, Tupelo. Memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church.
