Mantachie—Nathen Eugene Williams passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2023 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was 61 years old. Born May 26, 1961 in Lee County, he was the son of Elmer and Jettie Lansdell Williams. He married the love of his life, Denise Clayton Williams, and they enjoyed the past 14 years together. Nathen loved riding his Harley Davidson and camping with Denise. He was a member of Auburn Baptist Church.
He leaves behind his wife, Denise Clayton Williams of Mantachie; his two bonus children, Hayley Hutcheson and her husband, Eric, of Mooreville and Benjamin Asters of Tupelo; two grandchildren, Holly and Henley Hutcheson; his son, Blake Williams; sisters, Margie Palmer and her husband, Robert, Cleo Hurley and her husband, Raymond, and Grace Jones; and brothers, Buddy Williams and wife, Alice, Thealbert Williams and his wife, Lori, Jimmy Williams, and wife, Dorothy, and Mikey Williams; and a brother-in-law, Garry Roberts.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Martha Tanner and Katie Roberts; and a brother, Lenard Williams.
A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2023 at the Eggville Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Henry officiating. Pegues Funeral Directors has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Williams, Thealbert Williams, Ben Asters, Eric Hutcheson, Boyce Wilson, and Tommy Lindsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Williams and the employees of Senter Concrete Mix.
