Shannon - Nancy Jenkins McCollum, 63, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at her residence after an extended illness. A native of Cullman County, Ala, she was born August 18, 1946 to Eugene Commodore and Florence Vest Jenkins. She retired in 2008 from Lane Furniture where she worked 17 years. She lived in North Mississippi, primarily in Nettleton and Okolona until moving to the Shannon area seven years ago. She was an avid reader and enjoyed being outdoors. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Baptist church
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Jason Clouse officiating. Burial will be in Doty Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Angie Davis Payne (Butch) of Shannon and Kristina Farnsworth Vinson (Timothy) of Saltillo; one son, Joey Davis (Melody) of Shannon; four sisters, Imogene Hill of Shannon, Shirley Alvis of Nettleton, Mary Sue Jenkins of Mantachie, and Marie Wilson of Cullman, Ala.; one brother, James Jenkins of Shannon; ten grandchildren, Drew Chapman, Reid Chapman, Davis Chapman, Tori Kilgore, Allen Davis, Paige Davis, Kayleigh Davis, Joshua Davis, Christopher Vinson, and Tyler Vinson; three great-grandchildren, Jadelynn Earnest, Releena Earnest, and Hurley Kilgore; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Hythen Watson; and her brother, Douglas Jenkins.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Winfrey, Johnnie Oswalt, Randol Harlow, Elvin Hunt, Dewayne Hunt, and Maurice Reynolds
Honorary Pallbearers will be Zackary Oswalt, Robert Reed, Wesley Cox, and Chris Bunn.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
