Tupelo - Georgia Nadine Lancaster, 83, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks after an extended illness. A Jackson, Tenn. native, she was born June 21, 1924, to the late George Dewey and Mable L. Bishop. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing golf and sewing, playing with her great-grandchildren and her little dachshund, Lucy. She was a member of Bissell Baptist Church.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Marvin Murphy and Rev. Roger Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Harrell of Tupelo; two granddaughters, Jessica Huckaby and husband, Randy, of Furrs and Tricia Murphy and husband, Brad, of Brewer; five great-grandchildren, Justin Huckaby, Kevin Huckaby, Regan Huckaby, Ryan Murphy and Luke Murphy; two sisters, Virginia Haltom of Collierville, Tenn. and Thelma Hamilton of Manchester, Tenn.; and one brother, James Bishop and wife, Pearl, of Memphis, Tenn.; a special nephew, Glenn Lancaster and wife, Daphne, of Meridian.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, J.M. Lancaster; her son-in-law, G.W. Harrell; and a brother, Ed Bishop.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe O'Callaghan, Gene O'Callaghan, Joe O'Callaghan, Jr., Bob O'Callaghan, and Daniel Harrell; and the staff of Rosewood Assisted Living and Community Hospice.

Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
