Nettleton " Nadine R. Hall, 88, died Saturday, April 18, 2009, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born in the Evergreen Community on November 12, 1920 to Porter and Wilma Copeland Ridings. She was raised in the Evergreen community but spent most of her adult life in Nettleton. She was married over 56 years to Leroy Hall who preceded her in death June 1, 1991. During her working life she was a seamstress and had worked for several area garment manufacturing plants. Later in life she continued her love for sewing by doing alterations for the public out of her home. She was a faithful member of the Nettleton Presbyterian Church where she was a member for 57 years. She was also in Women of the Church, sang in the church choir for a number of years and was known for being first to church each Sunday morning to make the coffee for the church members. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers in her yard and was known for her love of animals, especially her cat Tu Tu.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2009 at Nettleton Presbyterian Church with Rev. Sonny Mason officiating. Burial will be in New Chapel Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Annette Whitlock and husband, Dale, of Nettleton; three sons, Durell Hall and wife, Pat, of Nettleton, Tommy Hall of Nettleton and Jimmy Hall and wife, Judy, of Little Rock, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Roger Whitlock and wife, Marsha, of Union, Kelli Whitlock Lemons and husband, Wayne, of Tupelo, Bryan Hall of Pontotoc, Jason Hall and wife, Jan, of Amory, Amanda Hall of Houston, Texas, Jennifer Ringgold and husband, Chris and Joy Brock and husband, Bud, both of Little Rock, Arkansas; two "adopted" grandchildren, Ronnie Sullivan, and wife, Valerie, of Tupelo and Jamie Gunnells and wife, Natalie, of Ripley; five great grandchildren and eight adopted great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and one sister, Pauline Thomas.
Pallbearers will be Roger Whitlock, Bryan Hall, Jason Hall, Billy Cheek, Joe Hester and Adam Fowler.
Visitation will continue from 1 p.m. until service time at the Church.
