NADENE WATKINS Black Zion Community - Nadene Watkins, 64, died Thursday, May 23, 2013, surrounded by her family at the North Mississippi Medical Center. An Osceola, Arkansas native, she was born September 9, 1948, to John and Evelyn Parnell Yarber. She was a minister's wife for twenty-three years and for twenty years taught in the daycare at Harrisburg Baptist Church where she loved teaching art. She retired at the age of 62 to spend more time with her family. In her later years she loved doting over her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending quiet moments in the swing in her backyard. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Temple Baptist Church in Myrtle with Rev. David Langerfeld and Rev. Tim Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Renae Robinson (Steve) and Samantha Seawright (Torri) both of the Black Zion Community ; one son, Robbie Watkins (Jade Byars) of the Black Zion Community; four grandchildren, Chris Johnson (Kim), Greg Johnson, Nathaniel Smith and Ava Jade Watkins; two great-grandchildren, Ana Raylee and Emma Brooke Johnson; five sisters, Barbra Wallace, Mary Bartholomey, Lavern Ward, Patricia Herren, Caroyln Sue Adams; one brother, Kenneth Wayne Yarber; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Rickey Yarber. Pallbearers will be Chris and Greg Johnson, Lee Holbrook, Randle Jordan, Charlie Wallace and Sam Taylor. Visitation will be 4 - 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at the church.
