Myrtle Lindsey
Saltillo- Myrtle Faye Lindsey, 94, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at North Mississippi Medical Center. The oldest of 13 children, she was born in Lee County August 1, 1924 to Beland and Flora Bell Dill and has lived in the area all her life. Earlier in her working life, she cooked for numerous area restaurants. Myrtle enjoyed reading her bible and had a habit of carrying it everywhere she went. She loved flower gardening and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Parker and his wife, Tina, Billy Parker and his wife, Missy all of Saltillo; daughter Mary Sain and her husband Jerry of Amory; siblings, James Dill and his wife, Linda of Blue Springs, Joyce Ridgeway and her husband, Billy of Verona, Laura Turner of Saltillo; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Abott, Becky Knight, Cassandra Floyd, Jeremy Parker, B.J. Abott, Matthew Parker, William Parker, Casey Parker, Chris Lindsey, and Tabitha Lindsey; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Verdie Elijah Parker; second husband, C.A. Lindsey; and seven siblings.
Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Friday August 3, 2018, at W. E. Pegues Saltillo.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday August 4, 2018, at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Matthew Parker officiating. Graveside services will be in Eggville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Parker, Casey Parker, B.J. Abott, Michael Floyd, Chris Lindsey, Rodney Knight, and Austin Parker.
Honorary pallbearer will be Jerry Sain.
