Myra Patton

Tupelo - Myra J. Priddy Patton, 69, died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born August 23, 1941, to John Relder and Luna Mae Davis Priddy. Earlier in her life she worked for Guntown Slacks, Blue Bell, Reed Manufacturing, and Louise Cut and Curl. She enjoyed keeping children and working in her yard and was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Priceville Baptist Church where she served many years in the church nursery and on the church flower committee.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Priceville Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Tutor officiating. Burial will be in Priceville Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Julia Kline (William) of Maurice,Louisiana and Teresa Estes (Steve) of Tupelo; two sons, Anthony Patton (Mary) of Tupelo and Mark Patton (Michelle) of Mooreville; one brother, Walter Priddy of Tupelo; two sisters, Martha Owen of Pontotoc and Barbara Maxwell (Bill) of Tupelo; seven grandchildren, Steven Estes,II of Tupelo, Jeremy Kline (Aimee) of Kaplan, Louisiana, Hannah Estes of Tupelo, Anna Kline of Maurice, Louisiana, Lauren Patton of Tupelo, Kristen Patton of Tupelo and Olivia Patton of Mooreville; three great-grandchildren, Logan Kline, Wyatt Kline, and Gauge Kline all of Kaplan, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Thomas Patton, who preceeded her in death June 12, 2004; two daughters, Jeri Daree Patton and Tonya Shelaine Patton.

Pallbearers will be Billy Owen, Charles Owen, Ronnie Owen, Brandon Maxwell, Blake Edwards and Bubba Estes

Honorary Pallbearers will be Clay Richey, Ivy Duvall, Wayne Kilgore, Brian Maxwell, Shane Estes, Bill Maxwell, Brandon Bruce and Joe Banik.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the funeral home. The body will lie in state 1 p.m. to service time Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at the church.
