Tupelo - Mildred Ellen Johnson Landers, 94, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born September 28, 1913, in Prentiss County to Samuel Jepha and Amanda Blizzard Johnson. While making her home in Memphis most of her life, she had also lived over 20 years in Tupelo. She was a longtime member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed her life as a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ and until her health failed attended Skyline Church of Christ.
Graveside Services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Spring Hill Cemetery with Dr. Charlotte Mansfield officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Leonard Edwin Landers and wife, Peggy, and Billy Landers and wife, Roberta, all of Memphis, Tenn.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Saltillo Funeral home.
