Tupelo – Jimmy Leon Willis, Senior, 77, died Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born in Michie, Tennessee, March 30, 1941, to R.C. Willis and Betty Sue Glidewell Willis. He was a 1959 graduate of Tupelo High School. On May 23, 1959, he married Mary “Jean” Kelly. He worked for many years as Parts Manager for Dossett Big 4 before his retirement in 1994. He enjoyed skeet shooting, quail hunting, and motorcycle riding in his younger years. He also enjoyed reading, learning, and working outdoors. He spent many hours listening to gospel music on the internet as well as taking vacations around the world on Google Earth. He was happiest when he was with his family and with his church family. He was a long-time member of the Eggville Church of Christ where he served as Minister for 42 years until he preached his last sermon on September 9, 2018.

Survivors include his wife of 59 and half years, Jean Willis; his daughters, Ramon Willis Feather and Donna Willis; his son, Jimmy Willis; and his grandchildren, Kyle Feather and Colton Feather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R.C. and Betty Sue Willis; his sisters, Debbie Willis and Paulette Cathcart; his brother, Danny Willis; his infant daughter, Mary Lee Willis; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Lizzie Kelly.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, September 29, 2018, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues.

Honorary pallbearers will be all members of Eggville Church of Christ and former co-workers of Dossett Big 4.
