Milton F. Parker TUPELO - Milton Franklin Parker, 86, passed away Thursday, May 25,
2023 at his home. Born December 17, 1936, he was the son of Walker and Jerushia Gory Parker. Milton grew up in Belden and was a 1959 graduate of Mooreville High School. He proudly served his country in the Mississippi National Guard for 29 years. On November 6, 1959, he married the love of his life, Nora Jane Johnson Parker. He worked for Super Sagless as an inspector and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church. Milton loved basketball and enjoyed watching any Ole Miss sporting event. He also enjoyed hunting and other outdoor activities.
Milton leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Jane Parker; two children, Frankie Crump (George) of Tupelo and Teena Parker Standifer of Baldwyn; grandchildren, Devan Smith (Tim), Alex Parker, Raven Hodges (Jahmai), Rodney Parker (Genesis), and Erica Armstrong (Davvin); great-grandchildren, Madison, Maj,
Preston Parker, and Israel.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023 at Pegues, Tupelo. A celebration of Milton's life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Kerry Nelson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Euclatubba Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Davin Armstrong, Tim Smith, Johnny Alred, Danny Parker, James Parker, Barry Parker, David Jones, Shane Pritchard, Ricky Alred, and Brandon Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Roberson, George Harris, Larry Johnson, and Gene Godfrey.
