MILDRED H. REESE Tupelo - On January 17, 2013, Ms. Mildred H. Reese, known to all as "Ms. Millie, went to be with the Lord, her Savior. Born April 18, 1926, Ms. Millie was a treasure to all. Growing up in the "depression era" gave her a totally different outlook on today's world. Upon her retirement from the Physical Therapy Department of the North Mississippi Medical Center, Ms. Millie became a babysitter and caregiver herself to numerous sweet adorable children. Many are now grown and married with children of their own. She derived much pleasure from this part of her life. She is survived by her children, Paula Megginson Calhoun (Bill), Barbara Holcomb, Larry Reese (Tonya), Beverly Aldridge (Mike) and Jean Williams; her grandchildren, Andrew Megginson (Amber), Emily Addison (Michael), Michael and Chad Cook, Craig, Todd and Rusty Reese and Ricky, Cindy and Eva Williams; her great-grandchildren, Milly Addison, Tannor and Carter Megginson; her special friend, Bob Balekian "Tex", whom she enjoyed numerous discussions and conversations with; her dedicated caregivers, Ms. Sharon Clifton and Ms. Jan Robbins, Hospice Advantage and numerous other committed to the care and fulfillment of her last days. She is also survived by one brother, Raymond Homan and former son-in-law, Terry Holcomb whom she always remembered for his fondness and kindness to her. A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013, in Plantersville Cemetery with Rev. Melvin Lewis officiating. Close family and friends are invited. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or the Lee County Humane Society, PO Box 1185, Tupelo, Mississippi 38802.
