MILDRED LOYD Tupelo - Mildred Thompson Loyd, 78, died Friday, September 21, 2012, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility. She was born November 10, 1933 to Henry Virgil and Mary "Sally" Bishop Thompson. She enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales, church and working with her flowers. She was a homemaker and loved her grandchildren very much. She was a member of the Eggville Free Will Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Free Will Baptist Church with Dr. Gerald Gann, Rev. Thomas Loyd and Rev. Wayne Thorn officiating. Burial will be in Eggville Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Paul Loyd; two sons, Mike Loyd (Kim) of Saltillo and Thomas Loyd (Lisa) of Russelleville, Alabama; four grandchildren, Amy Dickens (Chad) of Mooreville, Jon, Brittany and Ben Loyd all of Russelleville, Alabama; two great-granchildren, Tyler and Alexis Dickens; one sister-in-law, Cletus Overby of Brandon. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Margaret Taylor. Pallbearers will be Jon Loyd, Ben Loyd, Chris Whitehead, Tracy Byrd, Lynn Turner, Dennis Taylor, Art Loyd, Jr. and John Webb. Honorary pallbearers will be Truitt Weaver, Gene Bishop and Cecil Wayne Loyd. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be left at
