Tupelo- Mildred Fay Kidd passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born July 15, 1939, to Namon G. Bryant and Minnie Lee Montgomery Bryant. She was a lifelong resident of Tupelo. Mildred Fay retired after 27 years from Todd’s Big Star Grocery.
Mildred leaves behind her husband, James Kidd; two sons, David Kidd and Jerry Kidd, all of Tupelo; one grandson, Andrew Kidd; one great-grandson, Benson Kidd; brother-in-law, Bobby Norris; brothers- and sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews, Linda Pearson, Vicky Burch, Robbie Norris, and Alan Norris.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Stephen Kidd and Thomas Wayne Kidd; parents, N.G. and Minnie Bryant; mother- and father-in-law, Bollen and Qubell Kidd; and one sister, Doris Norris.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Pegues, Tupelo.
Services honoring Mildred Fay’s life will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors, with Bro. Tim Roaten officiating. Graveside services will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Pontotoc.
Pallbearers will be Mark Hughes, Gavin Hughes, Chris Mckissack, Mitch Mckissack, Jody Kidd, and Andrew Kidd. Wayne Hughes will serve as honorary pallbearer.
