Mildred Lavelle Fields
SALTILLO " Mildred Lavelle Fields, 79, died suddenly Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at her home. She was born Oct. 12, 1928, in Lacey Springs, Ala., to the late William and Daisy Bolen and later moved to Mississippi in her youth. She was an employee at North Miss. Medical Center for many years where she worked as a nurses aide. She was a Christian as well as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and playing with her dogs.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Frank Scott officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Fields and his wife, Pam, of Saltillo; one daughter, Peggy Scott and her husband, Frank, of Brewer; three grandsons, Jon Scott, Tyler Fields and Mason Fields; one granddaughter, Tami Scott; two brothers, Paul Bolen and his wife, Peggy, of Meridian, and Robert Bolen and his wife, Jo, of Texas; one sister, Wanda Ford and her husband, Raymond, of Wren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Odis Tucker; her second husband, Mack Fields; her parents, William and Daisy Bolen; two brothers, W.T. and Wallace Bolen; and one sister, Pauline Raines.
Pallbearers will be Jon Scott, Charles Sumner, Mike Moore and J.D. Moore.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
