Mildred Burdine Donald
Dorsey, formerly of Mooreville- Mildred Burdine Donald, 83, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born December 31, 1934, to Samuel Edward and Mary Ella Oxner. She was a nurse's assistant at Cedar Rapids, Iowa for seven years. After moving back to Mississippi, she became an Inspector for Reed's Manufacturing for over 35 years. She was a member of Andrew's Chapel United Methodist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and going to the park. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Stanley of Dorsey and Tina Palmer of Pontotoc; three grandchildren, Jessie Stanley and his wife Sumer of Dorsey, Jason Jackson of Pontotoc, and Brittany Palmer of Pontotoc; seven great-grandchildren, Reed Stanley, Ian Stanley, Lexi Works, Lyric Works, Rodney Williams, Jaxson Palmer, and Slater Williams; and two brothers, James Sonny Oxner of Beech Springs and Clarence Oxner of Mooreville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Louise Fowler, Alice Elmer, and Lois Nanney; one great-grandson Braylen Stanley; and one brother Edward Oxner.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday August 9, 2018 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo. Private burial will be at Andrew's Chapel Cemetery.
