MILDRED LOUISE BRYSON IRWIN Tupelo - Mildred Louise Bryson Irwin, 92, died Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born in Lee County on July 26, 1919, to William Brack and Clifford Harris Bryson. A lifelong resident of the community, she graduated from Guntown High School and Sunflower Junior College (now Mississippi Delta Community College) in Moorhead, Mississippi. She married her beloved husband of 54 years, Robert Vernon Irwin, on February 19, 1948. Their marvelous years together were spent raising "her two boys", traveling, and making wonderful memories to be cherished forever. She was engaged in the creative art of ceramics; and, her pottery pieces continue to decorate the homes and offices of friends and family. She was a faithful member of Saltillo First United Methodist Church. A beloved and respected wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and woman of the church, her legacy of caring, compassion and concern for all will be long cherished and remembered. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012, at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Green officiating. Private Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery, near Saltillo, MS. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her children, Dr. Robert Bryson Irwin of Tupelo and William Mike Irwin (Jeanne) of Saltillo; three grandchildren, Kelly Irwin Senter (Joseph), Kevin Michael Irwin (Britney), and William Kyle Irwin; two great-grandchildren; a nephew, Jimmy Bingham; a niece, Patsy Lemmons; a very special great-niece, Lea Anne Lemmons; and her wonderful care givers: Nobie Jean Prather, Mary Billups, Donna Brunson, and Tammy Holman. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert V. Irwin; and her sisters: Pauline Agnew, Hazel Bryson, and Jane Bingham. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bingham, Ben Bingham, Joey Bingham, Kevin Irwin, Kyle Irwin, and Joseph Senter. Visitation will be 10 until 11 a.m. today (Saturday) at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E.
