MIKE BROWN Furrs Community - Mike Brown, 63, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014, at his residence. He was born in Meridian on May 1, 1951, to Walter Marden and Geraldine Gibson Brown and grew up in Columbus. Mike owned and operated Specialty Printing. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved fishing and hunting with his grandsons. He was a member of The Orchard. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Bryan Collier officiating. A Graveside Service will follow in Tupelo Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Jackie Cook Brown of Pontotoc; three daughters, Wendy Wright Stafford (Patrick) of Tupelo, Amanda Brown Monroe (Austin) of Tupelo and Kacy Brown Howell (Rocky) of Pontotoc; one sister, Kathy Brown Adams of Columbus; eight grandchildren, Austin Lancaster (which he was raising as a son), Addison Gable, Connor Gable, Madison Stafford, Anna Claire Stafford, Bo Howell, Brody Howell and Maddie Monroe; his mother-in-law, Elsa Cook Clift (Jesse) of Saltillo; brother-in-law, Vince Cook (Lisa) of Mooreville; sister-in-law, Teresa Cook of Tupelo; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Marvin Cook. Pallbearers will be Bob Aycock, Mike Williams, Frank Ferguson, Kenney Belk, Tyler Cook, Trey Huey, Rocky Howell and Patrick Stafford. Honorary pallbearers will be all his hunting, fishing and camping friends. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2014, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo and continued Tuesday 10 a.m. until service time. Memorials may be made to The Orchard, 1379 N.
