Tupelo - Midrose Kennedy, 94, died Thursday, May 15, 2008, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A native of Marion County, Ala., she was born November 5, 1913 to the late James and Annie Murray. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Mike Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.
Survivors include her son, Wayne Kennedy and wife, Mavis, of Talladega, Ala; three grandchildren, Tracy Bunch, and husband, Mike of Atlanta, Ga., Mike Kennedy and wife, Heather, of Birmingham, and Alan Kennedy and wife, Amy, of Brandon; six great-grandchildren, Katie and Christopher Bunch, Cole and Samantha Kennedy, and Lauren and Matt Kennedy; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Walter Louis Kennedy who died in 1986.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1400 Clayton Ave., Tupelo MS 3804; or the Sanctuary Hospice House, PO Box 2177, Tupelo MS 38803.
