Michele Stanford

Guntown--Michele Hardy Stanford, age 56, crossed into Heaven on Thursday, February 8, 2024 after a short but intense battle with cancer.  She was born December 7, 1967 in Normandy, Missouri to Pete Hardy and Mary Frances Harrelson.  In 1991 she married the love of her life, Michael Stanford and they were blessed to share 32 years together. Michele was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She wore the title "Mamaw" with great honor. Some of her favorite pasttimes included spending time with her family, watching the sunset from her back porch with a cup of coffee, and showing support to her grandchild at their extracurricular events. Michele was an excellent homemaker and took great pride in making her home feel welcome to any and everybody.  Everyone who knew her loved her and she will be greatly missed by all. 

Michele leaves behind her husband, Michael, of Guntown; children, Nicole Bass (Daniel) of Saltillo, Christopher Stanford (Jessilyn) of Guntown, Breanna Stanford of Guntown, and Nattakan Wright (Nicholas) of Saltillo; step-children, Brandon Stanford (Stephanie) of Fulton and Brittany Peoples (Levi) of Belmont; her precious grandbabies, Hanna, Abby, Natalie, Cora Jo, Fletcher, Endoo, Andaa, Noah James, Caden, Bentley, Taygen, Tyde, and Slate; a brother, Clifton “Butch” Hardy (Gale); and two step siblings, Pete and Vanessa Harrelson. 

She was welcomed in Heaven by her parents, Pete and Frances Hardy; a grandchild, Josie; two brothers, Steve and Tim Hardy; her stepmother, Maridale Hardy; and her nephew, Jesse Hardy. 

Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2024 at Pegues, Saltillo.  

A celebration of Michele's life will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at the Saltillio Chapel with Bro. Chris Stacks officiating.  Graveside services will follow at Camp Creek Cemetery.  

Pallbearers will be Jason Stanford, Josh Stanford, Matthew Stanford, Casey Hardy, Shayne Hardy, and Isaac Hardy.  Honorary pallbearer will be Endoo Wright.
