Michael Thrasher

Mantachie - Michael Joe Thrasher, 56, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A Lee County native, he was born October 30, 1953, to the late Rubel and Jewel Mae Dill Thrasher. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church. He loved spending time with his wife and enjoyed animals.

Graveside Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Fellowship Cemetery with Rev. Danny Robbins officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Hattie Payne Thrasher of Mantachie; four sisters, Janice Marie Childers (Steven), Gloria Jean Thrasher, Stella Louise Bryant (Larry), and Patty Ann Edge (Clem); three brothers, Daniel Thomas Thrasher (Freida), Roger Dale Thrasher, and Christopher Howard Thrasher.

Pallbearers will be David Payne, Jr., Brandon Reynolds, Stephen Childers, Corey Crenshaw, Cody Cruise, and Clinton Edge.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the cemetery.
