MIKE MIHELIC Saltillo - Michael Mihelic, 56, died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A Houston native, he was born March 3, 1956 to John Jacob and Louise Freeman Davis Mihelic. He was a machine designer for FMC of Saltillo. He owned his own recording studio and recorded music for such groups as The Foyer Boyz of Tupelo and Senator Bobby Denton of Alabama. He enjoyed golf and spending time with his grandchildren. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Houston Cemetery with Father Bob Dalton officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors in Saltillo is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife of thirty-eight years, Christine Mihelic of Saltillo; one son, John Mihelic (Julie) of Alabaster, Alabama; two grandchildren, Eris and Scarlet Mihelic; one brother, Tony Mihelic of Houston; two sisters, Sandy Porter (Robert) of Tupelo and Donna McMillian of Mantee; sister-in-law, Martha Jo Mihelic Gann. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John Mihelic. Pallbearers will be Mark Willcutt, Michael Jackson, Steve Waddle, Gray Strain, Pat Murphy and Maurice Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be John Friar, Phil Mohr, Joe Wilson and Bobby Denton Visitation will be 11 - 1 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Saltillo Funeral Home.
