TupeloMichael R. Cordtz, 53, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, in Tupelo, MS after an extended illness. A South Bend, Indiana native, he was born December 1, 1952, to Ray and Naomi Cordtz. He was a 1971 graduate of John Adams High School and proudly served four years in the U.S. Air force and four years in the Army during the Vietnam War as a foreign language interpreter. He loved traveling, gardening, his pets and cooking.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his parents, and two sisters, Anne Harman of Olathe, KS and Susan May and husband, Ron, of Bloomington, IN; one brother, Danny Rayburn of Tupelo; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
