TUPELO - Merritt "Bud" Featheringill, 90, died suddenly Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at the North Miss. Medical Center. An Indiana native, he was born March 29, 1917, to the late Lee and Grace Mayberry Featheringill. He was co-owner of Featheringill Construction Company Inc. for the past 30 years in Tupelo with prior business in Indiana, Arizona and California.
A Memorial Service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Clay Roberts and Charlie Hackett officiating.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Marjorie Robinson Featheringill of Tupelo; one daughter, Myrna Rohr and her husband, Charles, of Hemet, Calif.; one son, Richard Featheringill and his wife, June, of Tupelo; three granddaughters, Suzanne Johnson and her husband, Anthony, of Franklin, Tenn., Deborah Featheringill of Adrian, Mich., and Dr. Jennifer Rohr Gillett and her husband, Dr. Matt Gillett, of Richmond, Calif.; four great-grandchildren, Eric and Nicholas Johnson, Alexis DeLong and Tyler Knight.
Visitation will be immediately after the service.
