MAXINE STANFORD Beech Springs - Maxine Stanford, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior,Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Homeplace Assisting Living Facility. She was born September 3, 1924, to Arnold and Dora Mckay Hill. In 1940, she married the love of her life, Autis Stanford. She was the oldest living member of Beech Springs Free Will Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the choir for many years. Maxine loved to sew and was an excellent seamstress. She also loved flowers and cooking and was known as a chocolate pie specialist. Services will be 12 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015, at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Dennis Kizzire officiating. Burial will be in Beech Springs Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne Stamey (Bruce) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; two sons, Mike Stanford (Linda) of Saltillo and Rick Stanford (Melba) of Amory; five grandchildren, Andy Stanford, Amy Mize (Curt) of Saltillo, James Stamey of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Portia Holland of Hernando, and Brent Stanford (Leigh) of Amory; seven great-grandchildren, Alisha Williams (Cody) of Saltillo, Adrianna Mize of Saltillo, Elena Mize of Saltillo, Reed Stanford of Amory, Luke Stanford of Amory, Kade Holland and Kohen Holland both of Hernando; and one great-great-grandchild, Wyatt Willaims of Saltillo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Autis Stanford in 1987; and six brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Andy Stanford, Brent Stanford, James Stamey, Curt Mize, and Cody Williams. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, July 11, 2015 at W. E.
