MATTIE LEE TAYLOR

Tupelo - Mattie Lee Taylor, 95, died Sunday, July 9, 2006, at the Sanctuary Hospice House after a brief illness. A Detroit, Ala. native, she was born Dec. 21, 1910, to the late Love Harrison and Eddie Murray Farr. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.

Services will be at noon today at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with the Rev. Mike Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.

Survivors include one brother, Lester E. Farr of Cadwell, Ga.; six nieces, Regina Daniel and husband, Bennie, of Rentz, Ga., Elizabeth Redding of Courtland, Ala., Janie Isabell and husband, George, and Imogene Brown, all of Tulsa, Okla., Mary Frances Redmond of Little Rock, Ark., and Rebecca Farr of Fort Smith, Ark.; three nephews, L.E Farr Jr. and wife, Gail of Cadwell, Ga., Danny Farr and wife, Becca, of Marietta, Ala., and Johnny Farr Jr. and wife, Bonnie, of Mena, Ark.; many great-nieces and great-nephews; one aunt, Midrose Kenndey of Tupelo.

She was preceded in death by hr husband of 46 years, Virgil L. Taylor; one sister, Clara Mac Temple; five brothers, John, Joe, Robert, Clyde and Jim Farr; one niece, Sarah Quigley; and three nephews, Bobby Farr, Billy Gerald Farr and Billy Joe Farr.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time.
