MARY PEGRAM STINSON Ridgeland - Mary Hall Pegram Stinson, 100, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Mary was born and raised in Tupelo, moving to Ridgeland, Mississippi. She attended Blue Mountain College graduating from Mississippi University for Women with an education degree. An avid gardener and bridge player, during trips to Memphis opera, the group would stay up most of the night playing their loved game. She loved to travel the United States and the World. Her cheese straws and candy were known and enjoyed in Tupelo and beyond. She was a tireless worker with Northeast Mississippi Community Hospital Auxiliary, First United Methodist Church Altar Guild, and Meals on Wheels. Services will be 11:30 a. m Saturday, February 14, 2015, in The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues in Tupelo with Rev. Jim Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Hall Coon (David) of Madison, Judie McNeil of Ridgeland, Robbie Barmer (Sammy) of Brandon; granddaughter, Kim Coon of Nashville, Tennessee; grandson, Robert Coon (Tracie) of Madison; great-grandchildren, Caitlin Coon, Mary Rogers Coon, Will Coon of Madison; sister-in-law, Dorothy Wilson of Tupelo; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Finley and Jane Hall; husbands, Dr. Robert Hugh Pegram, Jr. MD, and Thomas D. Stinson; brothers and sisters, Finley Hall, Jane DeMent, Henderson Hall, William Hall and Moselle Mitchell (Chic). Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo. Special thanks given to Ann West, Bettye Johnson, loving caregivers, and the staff at Highland Home.
